The service
GiftTrait helps you explore gift preferences, save ideas, and organize exchanges. Preferences and suggestions are starting points, not guarantees that someone will like a gift. Features may change as the service develops.
Cost at launch
All GiftTrait features are free at launch. Gifts, shipping, and retailer purchases are paid separately to the provider you choose. Any future paid features will disclose their price before you choose to purchase them.
Your account and contributions
Keep your sign-in information secure and provide information you have permission to use. Do not submit unlawful content, impersonate others, abuse invitations, or attempt to access someone else’s private information. You retain ownership of the content you add and allow GiftTrait to store, process, and display it as needed to provide the features you use.
Sharing and exchanges
Check what you include before sharing a link. Anyone who receives a sharing link may forward it. Hosts and participants are responsible for exchange rules, budgets, gifts, shipping, and participation. GiftTrait does not purchase or deliver gifts or guarantee that other participants will fulfill their commitments.
Retailers and purchases
Purchases take place with the retailer you choose. Confirm current price, availability, compatibility, delivery estimates, and return terms on that retailer’s site. GiftTrait may earn a commission from qualifying affiliate purchases. Retailers’ own terms apply to their products and services.
Availability and account requests
We work to keep GiftTrait available, but interruptions and errors can occur. Save important exchange details separately when needed. Access may be restricted to address misuse or protect the service. You may request account and data deletion through support; submitting a request does not immediately erase data or cancel an exchange.
